The Orchestra will again have a rehearsal weekend to kick off the 2010—2011 season. This overnight camp will help the students get ready for the season, as well as providing opportunities to socialize and get to know each other better. The dates for the camp are September 18 and 19, 2010. More information can be found here. There is also a Frequently Asked Questions page.

Wednesday March 10, 2010The poster for the CCYO Benefit Concert on Saturday, April 17 is now available.
With the combination of music and baseball, we believe that there may be a number of first time attendees who may be interested in music or the relationship that we have built with The Hamels Foundation, so please use this poster to publicize the concert.

Thursday January 14, 2010The Chester County Youth Orchestra annually hosts a benefit concert in which proceeds of ticket sales and donations are provided to an organization that provides vital community services. The orchestra is pleased to announce that this year's concert will benefit the Cole & Heidi Hamels Foundation.
The Hamels Foundation has been dedicated to bringing an end to extreme poverty and hardship endured by lack of educational support. The Hamels Foundation takes a community-based approach to education by providing assistance to inner-city schools in the United States, including but not limited to, providing stimulating learning environments, high-quality educational programs, and necessary provisions to promote learning. Some of you may also recognize the name Cole Hamels from the Philadelphia Phillies!
Just as last year, a representative from the beneficiaries will visit the orchestra to discuss the goals of the foundation. So let's make some great music in support of this worthy foundation!
Tuesday November 10, 2009Here is a short documentary of CCYO that is both informative and entertaining. It was filmed and edited in the Spring and Summer of 2009 with additional footage from a past holiday concert. It was produced by Nathan Breton, a former CCYO member, who is now a Cinema/Photography major at Ithaca College. For those who want to learn more about CCYO, this is a good place to start!
